Brutalist Handmade Ceramic Sconce, Pita Sconce by Streicher Goods
About the Item
The Pita Sconce is a medium-sized brutalist-inspired table wall down-lit sconce, perfect for bedside, hallways, or accent lighting in larger living spaces, created by Streicher Goods in Brooklyn, NY.
The Pita Sconce is flattened spherical shape, resembling a smooth, rounded stone. The lower portion of the sphere is sliced open to create a wide, crescent-shaped opening that directs the light downward and acts as a window into the golden interior. The exterior of the piece is hand-painted with acrylic paints to achieve the rugged, stone texture with a vividly contrasting interior that amplifies the light. The light source is housed inside the pocket—When illuminated, the design directs the light in a controlled manner, casting a soft, focused beam that enhances the surrounding space without being overpowering.
Each piece in the "Deep Reflections" Collection is hand-painted, using various techniques to build up the acrylic paint, creating the faux rock-like appearance to the outside of the ceramic piece.
*Please note: Exterior texture will vary piece to piece due to the hand-painted process
