About the Item
The Roebling light fixture design is the result of a basement window view of the Brooklyn Bridge in the designer’s first New York City apartment. The kinetic roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge is supported by heavy, grounding pillars, and the Roebling fixture mimics these features with its marble pillars which suspend a 360 degree rotating centerpiece, allowing for dynamic, directional light. The Roebling’s functionality allows for upward, sideways, or downward facing light, which can be used to illuminate artwork, light a bar cart, act as a reading light, or provide mood lighting. This fixture can be completely customized in marble variation, metal finish, and size. Made with precision and craft, and the finest materials the Roebling Wall Sconce will live in your space as beautiful functional art.
ASTRAEUS CLARKE was founded by partners Chelsie and Jacob Starley and launched in 2022. Their unique skills and vision brought them from out west in their home state, Utah, to New York City to start their own creative studio. ASTRAEUS CLARKE’s lighting collections often begin with a personal story. Each fixture combines materiality and simple geometries with unexpected functionality, all with the intention of allowing the user to have moments of connective interaction with the design.
Led by Jacob and Chelsie, the manufacturing team handcrafts each made to order customized fixture in an experienced and skilled process. All ASTRAEUS CLARKE pieces are handmade in Brooklyn, NY.
