About the Item

The architects Marinella Patetta and Claudio Valént, both with a Master in lighting design and many years of experience behind them, met in Piero Castiglioni's studio and after a few years - in 1989 - founded Metis Lighting, which deals exclusively with lighting design and of industrial design. In their work they enhance spaces through lighting projects that integrate knowledge gained in various fields in an interdisciplinary synthesis. For FontanaArte they designed the entire Nobi series in the early 90s, a collection straddling decorative and technical lighting, immediately and still today among the company's best sellers. The project for the Gallery projector, on the other hand, dates back to 2006. In recent years, his professional activity has been accompanied by teaching and university research at the faculty of Industrial Design at the Milan Polytechnic. A circumference in chromed metal and a circular diffuser, formed by a pair of molded, sandblasted and tempered glass shells: two essential elements that hide a complex system. The two concave glasses placed side by side are in fact kept in position by a system of small pliers and fixed to the metal structure with two pins, the same ones on which the light source is mounted. The diffuser can thus rotate on itself and direct the luminous flux in different directions. Innovative and available in multiple versions, Nobi guarantees maximum functionality, while maintaining decorative elements in the design. It is combined with a spacer box that allows you to hide the connections when recessing is not possible 2 halogen bulb 150 W R7s / 80 (included).
