An elegant and iconic pair of Italian wall or ceiling lamps, crafted from fire-lacquered aluminum in a refined milk-white finish. The mounting system is simple, sturdy, and functional, as shown in the photographs.
Produced between 1970 and 1975 in an artisanal workshop in Milan, these lamps — though unmarked — feature construction and design characteristics clearly reminiscent of special commission pieces made for Stilnovo, a common practice at the time for bespoke projects or small production runs. For this reason, their style can be confidently attributed to Gianluigi Gorgoni, a designer closely associated with the renowned Milanese firm. The clean lines and geometric form perfectly embody the minimalist and functional aesthetic of Italian design from this era. The aluminum structure ensures both lightness and durability, while the matte white finish softly diffuses light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lamps are fully made in Murano mouth-blown glass, in amazing conditions with no chips.
The central part is in a white semi-transparent glass while the edge is in a charming orange.
The lamps are enriched by two round brass stops that hold the white metal support behind the glass shade.
The lamps are wired and tested, compatible with both US and EU/UK standards. They use two E26/27 light bulb each. The effect when lit is simply spectacular and the contrast between the white and orange Murano glass incredibly elegant.
