Gunnar Asplund for ASEA, wall lamps, model '641', blown glass, lacquered metal, Sweden, 1940s Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund (1885–1940) designed this elegant wall lamp, model 641, in the 1940s. This striking fixture features a polygonal structure with an elongated arm that elegantly supports a delicate glass shade. The cylindrical shade subtly widens and then tapers again, encased by a metal ring. The glass itself is richly textured, infused with air bubbles of varying sizes.
