Hillebrand Murano / iceglass wall lamp - 1970s
About the Item
Long and beautiful wall sconce made of German Murano ice glass by Egon Hillebrand, model: 8527-231. This wall sconce consists of a brass bracket and a piece of Murano glass.
The lamp is equipped with 2 lamp holders (E14). The lamp has a heavy shade in the shape of half a tube and is screwed onto the holder with two spherical nuts. There is a switch on the lamp so that the lamp can be switched on and off directly on the holder. The light can be installed both vertically and horizontally.
The lights are in very good condition - see photos.
The Egon Hillebrand Leuchtenfabrik, Neheim-Hüsten, was founded on May 15, 1881 by the master plumber and locksmith Egon Hillebrand as a manufacturer of nickel silver lids for beer mugs, common household appliances, petroleum lamps and storm and carriage lanterns.
With the arrival of their son Franz, the company switched to producing electric lighting fixtures at the turn of the century.
