Industrial Concertina Workshop Lamp, 20th Century
A striking example of early industrial design, this concertina workshop lamp combines sculptural presence with utilitarian ingenuity. Its blackened steel frame extends on a robust scissor mechanism, allowing it to stretch, swivel, and retract with ease. The head is fitted with a copper shade, now richly patinated, and secured by a rotating bracket with a locking wing nut.
Originally designed for practical tasks in a workshop or factory setting, it now reads as an evocative piece of functional sculpture—raw, mechanical, and beautifully aged.
