Italian Repoussé Silvered Sconce Urn Vase Wall-Light 20th Century Baroque Style

About the Item

A 20th century handmade Italian wall-light realized with a silvered copper plate finely embossed with scrolling, geometrical and vegetal motifs, an antique style decoration to create a portapalme handled wall vase, mounted on a shaped painted wooden panel topped with a brass arm ending with one E27 light-bulb. Listed measures below include lampshade. Portapalme vase only measures 31 cm height by 19 cm width by 9 cm depth. The frame of this lined demilune beige shantung wall lampshade can be hanged separately on top of the repoussé vase so that height may vary a little. Good condition, in working order with new European standard wiring. This single repoussé silvered wall light comes from a private residence of Milan and dates back to mid-20th century. An elegant unique artisan work. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 50 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2-3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.

From Northern Italy a rare set of six 18th century gilt wrought iron arms, candle holders, hanging lantern brackets suitable as sconces, if you wire them. These iron arms are fully handmade with curved scrolling iron structure, decorated with elegant gilt wrought iron acanthus leaves and gildwood balls and bobeches.. Good age related condition, the six arms have the same shape and structure but slightly different sizes, with minor losses, missing giltwood balls in four of item. The gilding of the arms is in good condition, excellent feature in case of their use as sconces, overturning the irons compared to their original use. Some small lacks in the leaves of the crowns of the bobeches, as visible in the picture details. Northern Italy, 1700.
