About the Item

This beautiful sconce is the result of a most fruitful French Art Deco collaboration in the 1930's: Henri Petitot, a leader of the French modernist movement in Paris and Jean Gautier, a producer of Art Deco glassware in molded press-glass who signed his later work with EZAN, France (as is the case with this sconce). The frosted glass leaf blade with molded venation pattern sits on a 6-ringed brass cylinder which is attached to the wall mounting by a ringed brass arm. The mid-rib as well as the vain-ends are all hand-painted with gold. We are delighted to say that this soon to be antique wall light has not been modernized and is still fitted with the original bayonet socket for the light bulbs! (don't worry, these types of bulbs are still available and quite common in Ireland & the UK) Height: 30cm Width: 12cm Depth: 14cm As always, carefully wrapped and packed for safe shipping!
