About the Item

This elegant pair of crystal wall sconces by legendary French designer René Lalique features two of his celebrated relief motifs: "Joueur de Pipeau (Flute Player)" and "Figurine et Raisins Bras Levés (Figure with Grapes, Arms Raised)". Created circa 1928. Each frosted and polished crystal panel is exquisitely cast, showcasing Lalique’s signature Art Deco fusion of sensual form and nature-inspired ornamentation. Mounted on rich, dark wood backings, the sconces exude timeless sophistication and serve as both functional lighting and sculptural works of art. These pieces exemplify Lalique’s mastery in translating fluid, classical figures into luminous, tactile surfaces. The crystal pieces are in great condition, although the sconces currently do not work. The sconces measure at 26.5 inches in height, 9.5 inches in width, and 4.25 inches in depth.
