Large "Octopus" wall lamp in rock crystal and polished slate

Founded by Pierre HAREL, Atelier H is a decorative arts studio dedicated to the design of furniture and lighting in mineral materials. Its creative universe focuses on the combination and original shaping of natural stones (marble, slate, granite, alabaster) and minerals (rock crystal, agates, pyrites, etc.). The company stands out for its innovative treatment of these materials through the development of an exclusive manufacturing process known as “feuille de pierre” (stone sheet), enabling the creation of lighting fixtures in natural marble as thin as 7 mm, with almost unlimited design, shape and size! Once worked using this process, the material, which is hardly suitable for luminaire manufacture, becomes so thin that it lets light pass through it, as illustrated by the large Medusa chandelier, almost a metre high and 70 cm in diameter (weighing less than 25 kg), produced in 2023. Atelier H's expertise also extends to the cutting and inclusion of stone and minerals for a wide variety of applications (decorative panels, lighting fixtures, tables, consoles, etc.) in the service of interior designers' decorative projects. The studio also has the capacity to design realistic 3D models of custom lighting fixtures and furniture pieces.
