Mid-Century Danish Outdoor Model Skot Metal Wall Lamp by Lauritz Knudsen, 1960s

About the Item

Robust outdoor wall light from the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen based on a design by Lauritz Knudsen from the early 20th century. The Skot is inspired by a maritime design language based on functionality. The frame grille is made of thick die-cast aluminum and is used to physically protect the hood. The hood is made of clear polycarbonate. The transparent hood has visually aged a bit. However, this can be replaced very cost-effectively with an original spare part from Poulsen. Alternatively also with the opal version. The light is IP55 protected for outdoor use. It is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina (see photos). This piece has an attribution mark, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
