Mid Century Italian Modernist Wall Swag Lamp in Brass and Red Lacquered Metal
About the Item
Extendable, elegant swag lamp in brass with perforated red lacquered metal shade and red leatherette wrapped arm and handle containing the on/off switch (Italy, ca. 1950s).
The handle is counter weight to modulate the height of the shade - when it is pulled down, the shade is adjusted upward, and when it is released, the shade is lowered. Furthermore, the telescoping stem arm be manually lengthened or shortened, depending on preferred shade/light source placement.
Discerning design details in armature show fine craftsmanship and inspired construction.
Very good, original condition with warm patina to the brass and light wear to the original lacquer, as shown.
Will be presented wired for US use.
H: 33.13" (handle to arm) x L: 35" (shortest) x D: 14.63" (shade diameter)
Shade Dimensions: H: 7.5" x Diameter: 14.63"
Overall length can extend from 35" to 60.25"
Height can extend from 11.75" to 42" when shade is pulled all the way down.
Arm Length (including wall bracket length, excluding shade) extends from 28.25" to 54".

Triple socket floor lamp composed of black enameled-metal stems and steel base with brass accents and cased glass cylindrical fixtures by Stilnovo (Italy, ca. 1950s).
The three sockets are housed within cut metal 'receptacles' resembling candle/votive holders.
Takes three E14 base bulbs. We are using 3W globe bulbs (30 watt equivalent) warm white bulbs in the images with the shades on. Additionally, one of the images shows the lamp with three different kinds of E14 bulbs to illustrate various options of bulbs that can be used.
The plug has been changed for US use.
Stylish, unique piece with age-commensurate wear present (patina/light wear to the original black enamel along with tarnish spots to the brass, as shown). Overall, in very good, vintage condition.
