About the Item

This graphic and sophisticated wall sconce was realized in Italy, circa 1960, in the manner of Fontana Arte. It features five glass shades with a rectangular body replete with a subtle rectilinear etched pattern on the surface that affix to a curved antique nickel support at the top of the frame. The glass shades descend at an angle where they neatly tuck in to a pentagonally sided antique nickel finial with a zig-zag pattern at its apex. Full of verve and élan, this sconce embodies the vibrant personality of Italian Mid-Century Modern design at its finest. Its clean lines and impeccable construction promise to be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic midcentury to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. Italy, circa 1960 Dimensions: 18.5" H x 7.5" W x 5" D.
