About the Item

Pair of monumental Italian candle holder arms made in the early 1700s of embossed copper with plant motifs and applied to a frame carved of poplar wood and silvered on the edge side of the base. Instead of a ferrule at the top of the wall lights, we find a lacquered wooden candle with an electrical connection for a large E27 bulb powered by an external electrical wire. Functioning according to European standards. This monumental pair of Italian wall lights bears traces of mercury silvering. They are attached to a shaped shield also covered in silver-plated copper with hand embossed plant motif. They are in good condition, consistent with 300 years of age and wear, are of Lombard origin and date from the 1700s. For the export from Italy of an art object that is more than 50 years old, an export license called BELLE ARTI must be applied for from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. the issuance of such a government license takes about 2 to 3 weeks, to be added to the order processing time.
