About the Item

An enchanting pair of large-scale hand-forged iron wall sconces from Italy, circa 1890. Beautifully crafted in the late 19th century, these Italian sconces feature scrolling arms with stylized floral candle cups and finely worked foliate details throughout. The decorative backplates showcase symmetrical fleur-de-lis crests and elaborate scrollwork, creating an elegant and graceful form. Each sconce retains a rich, aged patina that highlights the texture and artistry of the metalwork. These substantial wall fixtures would make a dramatic statement in a hallway, entryway, or flanking a mantel or mirror. Currently rewired for electricity.
