A rare and elegant pair of Philips model 80.030 wall lamps, designed by Louis Kalff for Philips in the late 1950s. Also known under the export name “Auray” in the French market, these sculptural sconces showcase Kalff’s refined modernist sensibility—merging function with architectural clarity.
Each fixture features a softly curved opaline glass shade mounted on a warm, minimal teak bracket. The thoughtful balance of organic material and geometric restraint is characteristic of Kalff’s influential work at Philips, where he served as art director and lighting designer. His designs epitomize postwar European modernism—clean-lined yet inviting.
