Pair of straw marquetry sconces, designed and entirely made by a talented French artist, using ancient technics of straw marquetry and innovating methods. Totally non flammable of course. Structure made in aluminum. The centre part is in a stainless steel plaque beautifully engraved in checked pattern style. Gorgeous light bronze color and a fine stripe line in grey color creating a great contrast. Two pieces (one pair). Priced by 2. Important: there is no wire electric connection included so it fits adapts very easily any wall. Its an applique you cover the bulb so it can be placed in both ways facing up or facing down. Straw and marquetry, matter and technique: As early as the 17th century straw marquetry is used in furniture, bimbeloterie, the twentieth is added interior decoration.
