Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this exquisite pair of circa 1860 gilt bronze French wall sconces
These came from my favourite antiques dealer in Belgium along with four or five other sets all of which are listed under my other items, they are different sizes, some are gold gilt bronze and others are bronze with gilding on top, they all came from France and they are all highly decorative
If the new owner wishes, I can have these converted to take electricity, I use a wonderful Electrician is Surrey who can fit new lamp holders and wiring, the cost is £40-£60 each usually
These are a very impressive pair indeed, they are much larger than usual, gold gilt bronze, each arm is articulated so you can move it from left to right, in the centre it has a kind of knot so it stays in place, the backing panel has a floral cross surrounded by further floral details, its very gothic
The condition is sublime, they are truly exquisite, we have cleaned waxed and polished them, they are in ready to fit condition
