About the Item
4 French Art Deco wall sconces by PETITOT (Paris), France, 1920s. Frosted molded glass shades in their silver plated bronze fixtures. Each - width : 12.5" (31.8 cm), height : 13.5" (34.2 cm), depth : 4.9" (12.5 cm). Marked "Petitot France " on the rim inside (see photo). Delivered wired for your country (US, UK, EU, China, Australia, etc). LED can be used.
The bronze maker Antonin Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Henri took over in 1917. They had there own shop in Paris yet primarily were a wholesale selling their lamps to shops all over France, Europe and the States. Together with Hettier & Vincent they became the largest producer of French art deco lighting in the early 1930s. Petitot produced precious fixtures in high quality heavy bronze with shades from the best French glass manufacturers such as Sabino, Jean Gauthier, Muller Freres, Degue and Schneider...
