Rullo - wall lamp. Murrina, brass and woven rattan
About the Item
LED wall lamp consisting of a coated brass rod and a coloured glass disc. The lamp is available in four versions, created by the different combinations of the elements. The rod is covered in natural rattan hand-woven with copper or in dark brown leather hand-sewn with beige thread. The processing of rattan is typical of the eastern Veneto region, and is still done by hand. The glass disc can be a murrina or a crystal balloton, both typical works of the Murano glassmaking tradition that give life to very particular light effects. Murrina is made up of small rods, either paste or transparent, placed vertically and horizontally to compose a texture. Balloton is a blown glass tile, obtained from a small sphere squashed to obtain the desired shape. Such tiles were used to make typical Venetian glass windows.
