Ideal collection of 6 alabaster wall lamps for a project.
Because of their timeless design and warm light creating qualities, we have owned and sold many alabaster light fixtures over the years. There is something about the look and feel of these alabaster shades (with or without the light shining through) that appeals to so many people's sense of natural beauty.
Hand-carved out of alabaster rock, each shade carries its own unique pattern of lighter and darker veins, the natural fingerprint of Mother Nature herself. That is exactly why no two shades are ever alike, every piece is a one-of-a-kind object.
This particular set of six sconces comes from a 1970s Italian interior, where they graced the walls of an entry hall. Their rounded, half-moon shaped design is among the most sought-after in our alabaster collections, especially because of the soft, ambient glow they create when lit. Even unlit, their smooth surface and subtle marbling make them elegant decorative pieces.
Sets of this rare design are increasingly hard to find, and to come across six of them in this condition more than made our day.
