Set of Four 'Sierra' Wall Lights by Roberto Pamio for Leucos, Italy 1970s

About the Item

Some designs carry movement without ever shifting. These “Sierra” wall lights by Roberto Pamio for Leucos, produced in the 1980s, appear as if frozen mid-gesture—light caught inside a soft turn of color and form. Design Each piece is made from hand-blown Murano glass in a circular shape with a shallow central indentation. The surface is white with a subtle blue tint, interrupted by a bold yellow ribbon that bends asymmetrically across the face. This simple cut of color animates the form, creating a sense of direction and flow. When lit, the yellow deepens slightly, while the white glass diffuses light with a quiet glow. The fixtures mount directly to the wall with a discreet central bracket, leaving the circular forms floating lightly off the surface. Viewed together, the four pieces can be installed in sequence or scattered, working as both sculptural object and light source. Pamio’s use of contrast and rhythm is clear in this design. He keeps the gesture minimal, but the result is dynamic. The hand-crafted quality of the glass adds character and light distortion, especially noticeable when the lamps are on. A composed set that balances design clarity with material energy. Functional, but visually loose. Condition All four pieces are in good vintage condition. Minor signs of use to the glass and backplates, consistent with age.
