Spanish Medieval Style Wall Sconces in Gilt Hand Forged Iron

About the Item

Spanish Medieval style hand forged uplighter torch wall sconces, 1930s. Rare hand forged iron gothic inspired cylinder wall lights with terrific aged patina showing the original gold leaf gilding. This pair of medieval iron sconces are all made by hand and date of the beginig of the 20th century. They have hand cut cross shaped and rhombus decorations and fleur de lys endings. With great scale and outstanding presence, these unique wall lights will be a nice choice for an entry hall, on both sides of a fireplace, or in any bedroom, bathroom or library where an ancient-looking touch is called for. They can work in a classical and medieval or gothic inspired decoration but also in a contemporay scene.
