Vintage Italian Lamps Carved NeoClassical Music Trophies Wall Sconces a pair

About the Item

Tall Italian carved sconces, polychrome painted in soft colors. Material: Linden wood Styles: Italian, French, Louis XVI, Antique, Neoclassical, French Provincial, French Country, Vintage Origin: Italy, 1960s A pair three light electrified carved wall sconces allegorical Music trophies Mirrorred allegorical sconces almost 3 feet tall. Each trophy features the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow at the pediment, and carved twisted rope embellishments at the bottom. Beneath the ribbon musical instruments, oak leaves with acorns, laurel branches, scrolled sheet of music, flutes, violins and horns. Hand carved and polychrome painted. 3 lights E14 max 25 watt Condition: Very good working condition. Create the right ambience, good well positioned lighting can make a room! All our lamps are fully working condition, however, we are shipping from Europe and for all our lamps or chandeliers we always recommend to have it checked by an electrician before use. Height: 36.5 in - 91.5 cm Width: 14.7 in - 35 cm Depth: 7.9 in - 22.5 cm Trophies originated in the Greek and Romann period. It were signs and celebrations of military victories. Throphies had a reliving in France and Europe during the reign of Louis XVI. It became very popular and was made in many allegorical themes like the seassons, the hunt, the continents and music etc. Thropies were made in all kinds of material, wood inlaid thropies, carved wood, woven trophies, Architectural thropies and embroidered thropies. Trophies were made for the in- and exterior.
