1930s Eveready skyscraper theme Art Deco electric candle

About the Item

Early piece from the history of electricity circa 1931 . Battery powered electric candle . Made by Eveready battery co . In the early days of household batteries Eveready made and marketed a large number of battery powered devices. This is an example of a battery powered night light. It has a switch and a button on the bottom. When you have the switch in one position, it locks the light on. In the other position, the light is off when sitting . Basically a table top flashlight . Art Deco skyscraper styling . Reeded cylinder sits on concentric circle base . Concentric theme carries to top of glass globe . Nickel plated . Batteries not included .
