About the Item
Travertine Lamp, Zonca, Italy, 1970s
It must be said that travertine is... beautiful. The Romans understood this well, as the Colosseum in Rome largely features this rock with its characteristic cavities.
A beautiful base carved with a few grooves, a solid brass stem, and a ribbed shade are the ingredients for an elegant, warm, mineral lighting fixture! The shades have been restored to their original state. The structure is also original. I used a beautiful parchment for the restoration. It's magnificent, see photo.
