Antique Chinese Carved Green 'Jadeite' Quartz Lamp
About the Item
A Chinese carved stone lamp mounted on a carved rosewood base. The carved stone is often referred to as Jadeite or Quartz but is in fact from the fluorite family. This lamp base was carved in China in the late 19th century and exported to the United States. Carved examples like this were usually converted to lamps in the early 20th century.
