About the Item
Designed and manufactured by Andrew Kornat Designs this stunning pair of table lamps are 100% handmade from scratch in Brass and Bronze and made in over nine individual sections before assembly.
This lamp was inspired by the arc of yacht sails of varying sizes when caught in the wind. The design was sketched out by Andrew while he was sailing around the Aeolian Islands
The three different size Arcs are cast from solid Bronze using the lost wax technique and mounted on a rod that sits on a plinth made from 5mm plates of solid brass, which are chamfered and welded internally to create the clean sharp edges of the cube base. Each lamp weighs a hefty 4.6kg/ 10.15lbs each
The central rod has two lamp holders pointing down to illuminate the cast bronze details and has a finial fitting shade with a mouth blown glass finial
This pair of lamps is available from stock in Polished Nickel finish plinth and rod with textured Nickel arcs with polished edges, but we also have a pair in Matt and Aged Gold also - please see the other listing.
The price does not include lamp shades - shade are available in a huge amount of shapes and size and fabrics - please ask prices of shades if require. Shade shown in main photo are 18" Drum Shades with Finial Fitting
Wired with 2 x E27/ES lamp holders in each lamp - we can easily rewire for the USA Market if required (at no additional cost if purchased at full price) If ordering a brand new pair custom made, any global wiring specification can be requested
Shown in various finishes in a selection of projects that we have supplied to in the UK and our show case at the UKs premier Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour
