Boleslaw Danikowski ceramic lamp. Beautiful ceramic table lamp, "Vasque" model with indirect lighting. Interesting enamel decoration work. Dense and thick ceramic, which gives it great robustness. The lighting is both subtle and remarkable. Work made in Lille in the north of France circa 1970s. Very good condition. Height: 7.48" / 19 cm Diameter: 9.84" / 25 cm About Bolesław Danikowski (1928–1979) He was a Franco-Polish sculptor and ceramic artist known for his innovative use of glazed ceramics. He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lille, France, and developed a distinctive style influenced by modern art movements, including Cubism. Based in Northern France, he worked as a potter and art ceramistand he collaborated and contributed significantly to the development of the company Votre Maison with the designers Guillerme and Chambron, blending technical expertise with artistic creativity. His works range from abstract and figurative sculptures to functional objects like bowls and vases. They often feature geometric patterns and textured surfaces, finished with either glossy or matte glazes. Danikowski’s artistic output reflects a mastery of form and a deep understanding of materiality.
