About the Item
Inspired by the layered formations of sediment in desert landscapes revealed through erosion, this sculptural table lamp captures the organic fluidity of wind-shifted earth using a traditional Japanese nerikomi technique combined with clay marbling. Three stoneware clay bodies were meticulously wedged together to create thick marbled slabs. Each slab was then split, turned, and matched to create varied and unique colored patterns, evoking the psychedelic, graphic qualities of stratified stone while revealing subtle evidence of hand.
This one of a kind lamp celebrates natural imperfection and the inherent beauty of process, highlighting each marbled plane as a layered geological narrative captured in ceramic. It is finished with antique brass hardware, a dark brown twisted cloth cord, and an integrated dimmer control for customizable lighting.
Perfect as an artistic accent in modern, wabi-sabi, or eclectic interiors seeking a grounded yet visually striking design object.

Nani Goods
Nani Goods, founded by multi-disciplinary designer and artist Steven K Lancaster, creates handcrafted home goods that feel archival—timeless yet entirely new. Rooted in emotion and nostalgia, each piece is a quiet rebellion against the soullessness of mass production, embodying care, memory, and the unmistakable imprint of the human hand. Steven’s background in interior design and home furnishings informs a deep respect for the beauty of everyday objects. At Nani Goods, imperfection is celebrated as a sign of authenticity. We honor traditional craft and technique, believing that the everyday deserves to be both considered and beautiful. Informed by both the warmth of folk art and the restraint of minimalism, our objects are meant to be lived with, cherished, and passed on. Each piece reimagines heritage with reverence, inviting individuals to connect with culture, history, and the handmade—on their own terms.
