About the Item

Double lighting French ceramic lamp by Georges Pelletier, 1970s. It is a beautiful ceramic lamp. It offers a double lighting since a second bulb is inside the lamp base. The light is very soft and allows to highlight the characteristic shapes of Georges Pelletier's decor. Dimension whitout shade : H : 29cm, D : 16cm It is in a very good condition. Please be sure to have a look on the pictures. They complete the written description. --- Born in Belgium in 1938, Georges Pelletier is famous ceramist installed in France. During his apprenticeship period, while he's only 16 years old, he joined the Poteries D'accolay. He created his workshop in Paris in 1961 and collaborates with the company "Maison Bobois" : his ceramics lamps are proposed in the famous french brand catalogue. Now established in Cannes, he creates ceramic lamps, sculptures and decorative objects. Numerous exhibitions are devoted to his work in New York, Los Angeles, Ibiza, Gstaad or Atlanta.
