About the Item

Anonymous Early 20th century; North America Wood, brass Approximate size: 26 (h) x 9 (w) x 9 (d) in. The present lamp, formerly a kerosene lamp, has been converted to an electrical lamp. The wooden body is urn-shaped, flanked by brass lion-head ring handles and elegantly footed with a spiraling tripod brass base. The handsomely stained wood and accented bronze elements suit well for a study or library table lamp. From the home of Tyen, iconic photographer and makeup design director of the Christian Dior brand. Condition: minor nicks and scratches to the wooden body and base of the lamp, however, overall commensurate with age. Requires a harp fitting and shade.
