French Mid-Century Travertine and Metal Table Lamp
About the Item
This remarkable French table lamp from the mid-20th century features a large and impressive rectangular travertine body resting on a rectangular metal base with ball feet.
An unusual sculptural design where two corners of the honed travertine body has been left looking rough and natural.
The two different elements, metal and stone, each display distinct design characteristics from different periods which contrasts eachother perfectly; the ball feet is typical of the 1920s Art Deco era while the sculptural travertine body radiates of the playfulness present during the mid-20th century. The brave combination of styles and materials makes this an incredibly timeless piece.
