A gorgeous mid-century modern crystal lamp in a fantastic emerald green color, made by the talented Börne Augustsson for Åseda, Sweden during the 60s. The shape is very biomorphic yet it is the color that really makes this lamp so fantastic. This lamp is very special and will make a statement and add to any interior setting. They are 19cm high (7.10") including lamp fitting and around 16cm (5.97") in diameter and it is in a very good condition. NOTE: it is re-wired for Swedish and most of EU standard with an E27 electric plug and it is in a good condition. Lamp shades are not included, also that this lamp is rather heavy with 1.8kg (3.96lbs). The price includes free shipping. Åseda art and design glass; famous at times even seen as iconic, and for good reasons. This company produced some of the most interesting mid-century modern art and design glass vases and other objects in Sweden. Some of the best designers has contributed with the development of innovative and high-end art and design glass objects. One can claim that their unique take on mid-century modern design still has a contemporary feeling, suitable for any type of interior design and decor. Their fame would not be possible without Börne Augustsson and Bo Borgström, who were the leading designers at this company and helped develop a unique and distinct design. They quickly developed a unique style of art and design glass with high quality. Which rapidly became used in various types of interior design. Yet in the beginning the production was mainly focusing in tableware glass, but soon it only include art, design and decorative glass vases and other glass art objects usually in various strong colors. Since the beginning of the 60's, the artist and designer Bo Borgström has been associated with the company and his work and design have given “Åsedaglaset” (the Aseda-glass) its own exclusive and prestigious design and style. Usually robust shapes and bold colors. Due to his skills, a substantial part of their production were sales abroad both in Europe, North America and Australia.
