“Joseph” is a one-of-a-kind, hand-built stoneware sculpture from Carrillo Studio’s Cadaqués Collection, created in Barcelona in 2023.
The piece draws inspiration from the Mediterranean village of Cadaqués—its stillness, raw textures, and sculptural light. Crafted in high-temperature stoneware and finished with white engobe, the surface is left unglazed to preserve the tactile quality of the clay.
“Joseph” was exhibited at ''MARE NOSTRUM'', part of TERRASZA BCN 2024 during Barcelona Design Week, in collaboration with A-FAD.
Its organic form blends strength and fragility, capturing a sense of timelessness. Each curve, variation, and imperfection tells a story of slow, intentional making.
