About the Item
The “Andy” ceramic collection VG presents a collection of Classic sculptures which revisits the techniques of Pop Art. The original work is taken apart; a few details are then removed and highlighted, becoming the main features of the new object. This is an ambitious project, taking its inspiration from some of the most famous images in Italian art.
The cylindrical “Mani” lamp is inspired by a study of casts made by Michelangelo, in relation to reproducing hands as part of the human form. VG wants to dedicate this lamp to one of the greatest geniuses of the Renaissance, and to the exceptional manual skills of Italian artists.
