About the Item
Large green ceramic table lamp by Valenti, 1970s.
In very good condition. The lamp is signed.
In 1798 the Valentí family founded its first goldsmith's workshop in Barcelona. Faced with the need to show the firm's new creations, the family traveled to London in search of furniture to be able to display them properly.
From there arose the IDEA of diversifying production and starting to develop furniture for the firm, at a time when Barcelona was experiencing a modernist explosion.
In 1925 Fernando Valentí Clúa was born, founder of the current Valentí. Since then, they have been able to create a company with a solid Craft base but with a business vision for the future.
They knew how to bet on design, and the reason for this was, among others, obtaining the Design Award for the Pizarro table, awarded by the Official College of Interior Architecture Decorators and Designers of the Community of Madrid.
