About the Item
A Mid-Century Modern style Italian table lamp or desk lamp made of brass and black lacquered metal, with two directional designed lampshades, with one bulb holder in the smaller shade. We believe this piece to be of recent 21st century production and In the style of Stilnovo from the 1950’s-1960’s.
Both lampshades are fully adjustable, the smaller one directs the throw of the light onto the larger shade. The larger lampshade creates an atmospheric lighting display, with both shades having symmetrical pierced holes running concentrically around the outer edge. This also creates wonderful lighting patterns from this intervention. The lamp can also be adjusted to sit higher or lower by tightening the horizontal bar, either lower or higher up the main shaft.
This lamp can be rewired for any region and comes with a switch breaker to one end of your flex, particularly useful when positioned on a desk or table. Wear is consistent with age and use and is very minor, not detracting from the overall look and appearance. The style of the light is distinctively circa 1950-1960, Milan, Italy. We also have one other light in a white and brass colour way.
