About the Item

Beautiful Facette in white (matte) table lamp by Cari Zalloni for Steuler. The lamp is 25 cm height including newly made shade 45 cm height. The lamp shade is newly made in seventies style fabric. The lamp is in a very good condition. Steuler was founded by Georg Steuler in Höhr-Grenzhausen in 1917. Steuler reached the very top artistically in the 60s and 70s and gained most fame by the 'Zyklon', 'Facette', and 'Çontinua' series from designer Cari Zalloni. Most vases from Steuler are of above-average quality. On the bottom we can read an ST Monogram in relief print. The word Germany is not used. Cari Zalloni was a designer of Greek, Italian and Austrian origin. Born in Athens with an Austrian mother and Greek / Italian father, he grew up and studied in Austria. After studying at the art academy in Vienna, he went to Italy, where he worked as a product designer for furniture. In the late 60s and 70s he worked for the West German manufacturer Steuler. Cari Zalloni died in 2012.
