About the Item
Art Deco silvered iron table lamp by Muller Frères in the Edgar Brandt manner. French. Circa 1930. Signed.
Produced by the famous Muller Frères of Luneville, the lamp shows strong Art Deco design, the frosted shade being of a hexagonal section conical relief modelled with geometric chevron design, supported on a silvered iron tooled stepped base.
There is no damage to the frosted glass or the iron base. The glass shade has a few discolorations to the rim in places. The iron base shows some oxidation in places.
The lamp has been re-wired with black & white 3 core and a UK plug added. The cable length is 1.9 metres. A small pad has been added to the underside of one corner which makes the lamp level.
