About the Item
A Mid Century Murano glass lamp by Alfredo Barbini for Seguso. Hand-blown cased glass with ribbed form. Beautiful light blue color with gold inclusions and controlled bubbles. Original metal base has been repainted. Rewired with new brass socket and cord. Circa 1950s. We have a large selection of Murano glass lamps. Please see other listings. Shade is NOT included but for reference measures 12" x 12" x 8.5"

Alfredo Barbini
Alfredo Barbini (1912–2007), a glass artist born in 1912 on the islands of Murano in the lagoon of Venice, Italy, was one of Murano's leading figures of the 20th century. His parents were members of families, which had been prominent in the glassmaking industry on Murano for generations as glassblowers and beadmakers.
