From the end of the 1930s to the mid-1950s, Pitt Müller was intensively involved in the design and production of electrical lighting fixtures. In addition to lights primarily intended for private living areas, he also designed representative lighting systems for the interior design of public buildings. Despite numerous competing companies, Pitt Müller was able to successfully assert itself on the market as a well-known lighting designer and created a multifaceted lighting collection that includes well over 100 models. Its product range, which is characterized by different material and style trends, includes ceiling lights, floor lamps, wall lights and table lamps in numerous variants and a wide variety of designs. In addition to emphatically simple, timeless lamp creations made of glass and metal, the form of which is clearly indebted to the functional design influenced by the Werkbund, Pitt Müller also created so-called “bag lamps” with flexible brass arms and asymmetrically cut metal reflectors in keeping with the typical contemporary taste of the 1950s Pleated, partly printed fabric or parchment shades. A feature of the Pitt lights is their diverse repertoire of shapes, in addition to aesthetic qualities, a solid practicality that primarily meets the practical needs of the user. Müller succeeds in bringing the comfort of the lights and their lighting properties into harmony with the demands of contemporary interior design.

Original vintage table Light, designed by Pitt Müller in the 1940s and produced in his own workshop in Vilich near Bonn in Germany in the 1950s. the light is hand made of solid brass with a round stand as typical identification sign by Pitt Müller and a looped shade fixation arm. the light still features the super rare paper material shade element.
Authentic vintage condition with age related patina. very rare and hard to find.
