About the Item
Pair 19th Century Bronze French Napoleon III Period Oil Lanterns converted to Table Lamps will make the perfect finishing touch to any room! Nothing adds ambiance like antique lighting, and this pair are exceptional. Cast in bronze, the design features an orb form hollow on the inside to enhance the intricate detailing that encompasses the entire sphere, including stylized fleurs de lys with foliates, a colonnade design, and drapery swags with fruit representing the bounty of the earth. Each orb is held aloft by four dolphins bearing anthropomorphic faces which in turn rest on a footed base centered with a finial.
Newly electrified with standard wiring. Accepts standard medium base bulbs up to 75 watts. (LEDs are recommended for long life and cool operation.)
