About the Item
This pair of 18th/19th Century Chinese Blue lamps is a beautiful and elegant example of Chinese porcelain craftsmanship. Powder blue became popular on porcelains in the Kangxi reign. The effect, when fired, was of a deep, finely mottled or soufflé blue. The porcelain has the double ring mark on the underside of the vases. The lamps are mounted on fire gilt bronze bases and are wired and in working condition.
