Pair of 1970s German Frosted Crackled Glass Mushroom Table Lamps Putzler Style
About the Item
Pair of small vintage frosted matt white glass table lamps. The manufacturer's label isn't present on either lamp but they're similar in design to those of Hustadt Leuchten, Glashütte Limburg or Peill & Putzler which are all German lighting manufacturers.
These lamps which are often referred to as "mushroom lamps" due to their shape, characterised by their rounded base and wider, dome-shaped shade, both made from one piece of frosted glass overlayed with a crackled or mottled abstract pattern which becomes more distinct when the lamp is lit. Perfect for ambient lighting perhaps in a bedroom as bedside lamps.
The wiring has been checked by an electrician and they're in perfect working order. A single Edison E27/E26 screw in lightbulb is required in each one. An on/off light switch is fitted along the white flex.
