About the Item
This listing features a pair of porcelain Rococo Revival cameo jasperware style. Jasperware is a type of pottery first developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s. Sometimes described as stoneware, it has an unglazed matte "biscuit" finish and is produced in a number of different colors. This stoneware usually has a white relief that is usually figural but can also be with objects and foliage, and a contrasting color as the background, giving a cameo effect.
