Pair of Modernist Handblown Murano 24kt Gold Fleck Table Lamps
About the Item
This stunning pair of table lamps were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature circular stepped bases in translucent glass that support elongated ovoid form bodies. The interior of each of these tear drop forms is composed of 24kt gold infused glass in an amorphic and graphic scalloped form. These monolithic appearing gold masses lend the lamps a sculptural solidity that provides a compelling juxtaposition to the ethereal feeling translucent glass throughout. With their beautiful quality of craftsmanship and refined color palate, these lamps would be a winning addition to any style of interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. The lamps come fitted with custom shades.
