About the Item
Set of 2 postmodern bedside lamps designed by Luigi Ghisetti and produced between the 80s and 90s by the Murano company "De Majo".
This model of table lamp takes its name from a typical traditional lagoon boat called "Bissona" from "Bissa" a name in Venetian dialect which refers to the water snake.
Like a water snake these rowing boats are very fast but above all, like our lamps they have sinuous and captivating shapes, some very decorative, they are in fact used during historical parades and regattas.
Typical Venetian name as well as the material in which they were made: Murano glass.
the bases of these table lamps are sinuous and have a smooth albeit irregular texture in etched glass.
The lampshades are rotatable to be able to shield the light or not and are made in Blue and Milky White cased Glass
The lamps are working and in excellent condition. The electrical socket of one of the two lamps was replaced by a professional as it was damaged.

Splendid Postmodern table lamp produced in Italy by the "Punto Luce" company using glass made by Murano glass artisans.
This is an "atmosphere" lamp and not a reading lamp.
The dimmable halogen bulb releases a light that is softened and tinged with pastel colors by the shaded and colored Murano glass.
The lamp is essentially composed of two modules:
The first is a base in light gray overlaid with white Murano glass, decorated with thin iron gray lines.
This has a conical shape and houses the halogen bulb inside.
The second is a large shaded Murano glass lampshade.
Its concave shape, like an upside-down hat or a serving plate; unlike normal "lampshades" which force and direct the light into a cone, this diffuses it upwards, widening its radius.
A heavy black enamelled metal base stabilizes the weight of the lamp making it very stable.
