Pallotta lamp by P. Venini and M.Pistilli for Studio Venini - Italy - 1970s

About the Item

This extraordinary table lamp, model Pallotta, is a rare example of the excellent craftsmanship of Venini, a famous Murano-based manufacturer. Made in the 1960s, the lamp features a large globe of transparent smoked blown glass, inside of which are glass spheres of different sizes in shades of blue and white, which diffuse light with an evocative and ethereal effect. The minimalist elegance of the design, combined with the technical mastery of glassmaking, makes this lamp not only a fine piece of furniture, but also a collector's item for 20th-century lighting enthusiasts. It should be noted that the edge of the mouthpiece has small chipping, signs of normal wear compatible with the age of the object. The Pallotta lamp was designed by Paolo Venini and Massimo Pistilli, two key figures in the Italian design scene. Venini: Tradition and Innovation in Murano Glass Founded in 1921 by Paolo Venini, the Venini company is synonymous with excellence in art glass making. By collaborating with some of the greatest master glassmakers and designers of the 20th century, Venini has been able to blend tradition and innovation, creating timeless works that continue to fascinate collectors and enthusiasts around the world. This *Pallotta* lamp perfectly embodies the spirit of Venini: a fusion of artistic experimentation and craftsmanship that makes it a unique and precious work of art.
